This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information — including Meta Platform Data accessed via the Instagram Graph API, WhatsApp Business API, and Facebook Graph API — when you use our Service.

2.2 Information from Meta Products

When you connect your Instagram, WhatsApp, or Facebook accounts using OAuth authentication, we collect data strictly as permitted by the Meta Platform Terms, including:

Instagram Basic Data

Profile name, profile picture, username, and media content (e.g., images, captions) that you explicitly grant access to.

Messages and Comments

For customer service automation and insights.

Page or Business Account Information

Page ID, access tokens, and status.

We do not collect personal data from users who do not explicitly authorize the integration.

3. How We Use the Data

3.1 Instagram Basic Permission

We use the instagram_basic permission only to:

Display your connected business profile name and picture inside your BotOverload dashboard.
Retrieve your business media (posts, captions, and engagement metrics) to help automate comments or customer responses.
Provide analytics such as message performance and engagement summaries.

We do not store or share any personal Instagram user data. All retrieved data is processed temporarily and securely, strictly for the purpose of enabling your business automation workflow.

3.2 General Use of Collected Data

Authenticate and maintain integrations with social media accounts.
Route and process customer messages to your linked business profiles.
Provide analytics, performance reports, and customer engagement summaries.
Improve automated responses and AI functionality.

4. How We Protect Your Data

We employ industry-standard security measures, including:

Encryption: HTTPS/TLS for data in transit; AES-256 encryption for data at rest.
Access Controls: Role-based access with MFA for all administrative users.
Infrastructure Security: Continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and backups.

We never sell, rent, or trade Platform Data.

5. Data Sharing and Retention

We only share data with:

Authorized Service Providers: For hosting, analytics, and billing (e.g., AWS, Stripe).
Meta: As required under Meta's Platform Terms.

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide our Service. You may request deletion of your data anytime by contacting privacy@algorithmsquad.ae.

6. Compliance with Meta Platform Terms

BotOverload adheres to all Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, including:

Using Platform Data only for explicitly granted, user-facing features.
Providing a public, accessible privacy policy (linked in the SDK dialog).
Displaying and allowing users to review this policy before granting permissions.
Not using data for disallowed use cases such as surveillance, discrimination, or reselling.

Our platform uses instagram_basic solely to enable legitimate, transparent business functions directly tied to user intent and consent.

Request access, correction, or deletion of your data.
Withdraw consent for specific integrations at any time.
Revoke BotOverload's permissions through Meta's App Settings.
